How You Can Help

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We are now collecting used, domestic sized batteries which will be safely recycled as an alternative to them going to landfill sites where they can pollute the land. Please put your old batteries in the box near the front office.

Don't throw away your old/broken/unwanted spectacles. Visionaid is a charity that repairs and refurbishes old glasses and distributes them to adults and children across Africa who don't have access to eye-care. Please send them into school with your child or bring them in to the front office (no cases please).

When used printer cartridges are disposed of into landfill, they leak dangerous substances into the ground. We are now collecting them to support CAFOD.

We are now collecting empty. washed crisps packets to earn Terra-Cycle points, which can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts. For more information please click the link below.

WOW (Walk Once a Week) - to keep healthy and reduce pollution by reducing car journeys.

Our eco-diaries are now being sent home to each family, who will have the opportunity to tell us about what they do at home to help protect the environment. The idea is that by sharing what we do, others will be encouraged to try new ideas. From recycling to only washing full loads or turning down the thermostat "every little helps!"

HOW CAN YOU HELP AT HOME?

Encourage your children to continue their eco management skills at home. All the children learning to have greater understanding of the simple measures you can take to reduce your negative impact on our environment. We're an eco-school - why not be an eco-home?
